I’m Alex. And my favorite hobbies are cheerleading, liking people, and living in America. (Pinpoint that reference and we can be friends by default.) I idolize celebrities people my age have never heard of, listen to music your parents grew up on, and quote films and television shows in my everyday life like nobody’s business. My favorite food, color, and movie all change daily, and I often have a hard time making up my mind and expressing what I feel. My heart belongs to the city, I am the most content when there are bright stage lights beating down upon my neck, and my larger-than-life dreams are far more delineated than most; ergo, I work hard for the things I desire, so be passionate about something in order to garner my respect. One day in the distant future I'll be privileged enough to call the Big Apple my home, but until then, I suppose I'll just be living on a latte and a prayer. Unlike most, I actually enjoy riding public transportation, I drink hot chocolate year-round, I accent the former syllable of the word 'umbrella' when I speak as opposed to the latter, and I can't remember the last time I wore a pair of pants in public. I'm known for being one to cry at the drop of a hat, and there are not many things in life that intrigue me more than honest, raw displays of emotion. I'd like to think that I'm a gigantic amalgamation of everyone I've ever come into contact with throughout my life, and I can find inspiration in just about anything if I try hard enough. I am notorious for obsessing over everything in the entire universe (no, really), and I can be caught flailing over the one and only Bette Midler, anything and everything Broadway, and the housewives of Wisteria Lane on a highly regular basis.

I'm really trying not to add anyone new at the moment, but if you think we'd hit it off well for whatever reason then feel free to drop me a comment. Comments are screened.

i'll never be the vision of a girl who can write poetry
i'll never be the little black dress we've seen on natalie b.
i'll never be five foot ten, i'm barely five foot three
i'm on solitary sand, but in parentheses
